PRODUCT REVIEW: CGB grow box concept is to build a grow cabinet that is user friendly, which we want to make it simple but yet fully automated. We want our customer who purchase our grow cabinet, to make growing indoor simple but yet fun. Everything in this grow cabinet is fabricated and built in house, so we cut the cost down and sell it way below our competitors price. What is special about our grow cabinet is the CFL grow light hood that we built. Many people say that CFL grow lights are only good for vegging that is not always the case, Many people have use CFL through out the stage and still have a healthy successful crop, Many people do not know how to maximize these lights to get the most out of them. You have to have these lights almost touch the plants at all times, about 2-3 inch above the plants, how simple is that. If you want to go further you can use a SCROG (screen of green) net and train your plants to grow horizontally the purpose of this is the get a bushier plant. Our light hood has 8 sockets, most CFL grow box has only 3 or 4. We built it this way so we can add more bulbs = more lumens= healthy crop. A sidelight is another option, that’s another 7000 lumen. Our grow box range from 14000 lumen to 35000 lumen that is plenty of lumens. Now lets talk about how much does it cost to operate this grow cabinet. Take in consideration that that you will be using the lights anywhere from 12 to 18 hrs a day. Your electricity bill can get pretty high if you were to use HPS or MH lights, but using CFL lights would save you about 75% on your electricity bill. Example .026 x .1484 (cost per kwh) =. 0038584 cents per hour (less than 1 cent per hour) then you times that by however much hours usage of lights. Using these lights are much safer and also it produce very little heat so you do not have to worry about burning your plants and also you can easily manage the temperature in your grow cabinet. CFL lights range from 2700 K (warm bulbs) to 6500K (cool bulbs). Most growers use 6500 K bulbs to Veg and 2700K to Flower or you can mix and match. Our grow cabinet is fully insulated with reflectix material the purpose of that is to trap the light inside the grow cabinet. The Cabinet is well sealed up to keep the lights from leaking. We have installed intake and Outtake fans (exhaust fans) to keep fresh air circulating which plants need lots of. We also have a detachable Carbon filter to eliminate odors, This will be attach to our exhaust fans that range from 150 CFM to 25 CFM, this should have enough suction for this size box. We use two type of Hydroponic System Deep water culture system and the Drip System Both are effective when growing indoors. Using Hydroponic system to grow plants is the fastest way to grow, 4-5 times faster than soil. It is pretty straight forward Your roots will be submerge in the reservoir which contain the nutrients to feed your plant that is just constantly feeding your plants 24 hrs a day. This is the most simple grow cabinet that is cost effective. |
